Despite strenuous efforts from the Police, a series of strange disappearances occur throughout Japan and there is no lead. All the victims have been youth. Akatsuki Iride is a teenage boy who uploads “Let’s Play” videos of a F2P game called “The Ones Within – Genome”.
Rumors claim that anyone who clears the game seems to disappear. Akatsuki doesn’t believe it but the rumors prove to be true as he is suddenly summoned to a different world.
Akatsuki meets other teenagers like him in the new world. They are welcomed to 13th Avenue where a strange man in an alpaca mask known as Paca gives them their task.
They must work together to clear different stages and retrieve the chromosome which is a token of completion. Only then will they be able to return to reality. However, death and injury in the game are very real.
