Season 1 and 2 of the anime covered 198 chapters of the manga. If we assume that each season covered almost 100 chapters, then there are 171 chapters left that can be adapted into season 3.

In comparison, DVD/ Blu-Ray sales of the anime were not as high as the manga. The anime sold over 2280 DVDs sold with 1470 Blu-Ray.

What is Magi Season 3 Release Date
Unfortunately, there is no release date for Magi season 3. The studio has not made any official announcement regarding the renewal of the anime series.
The latest season of Magi was in 2014. Since then there has been no word from the producers regarding the renewal of the series. Even though there is enough source material, the production company has not moved forward with season 3 of the anime.

Some years ago, a mysterious tower-like structure appeared in the ocean. Out of curiosity thousands of people went in but were never seen again. At present, the tower has been conquered by Magi and King.
Alibaba is a young man aiming to capture Amon, and Aladdin is a traveler with a Djinn in his flute. Alibaba and Aladdin become friends and capture the dungeon, Amon together. Later Aladdin learns that he’s a Magi, and Alibaba is a King’s people.
Along the way, they encounter various adventures, and farewells, as both of them learn of their true destiny.
In the last episode, we saw Alibaba entering a new world created by Sinbad. He tries to reunite with his friends, and that’s where the anime ended abruptly. It has been so many years and we haven’t gotten another season.
If season 3 gets green-lit, we will get to see Alibaba continuing his adventures as he searches for his friends and reunites with them.
